From what I understand Cloud Computing it is more efficient then using an actual server. You do not have to pay for anything extra other than when it is being used. It works by using no hardware just by using a personal computer just use the cloud server as needed if not that many people are on than you can disconnect from the server so it will not cost you extra. Its Cheaper and more efficient than using actual server also you dont have to worry of keeping it cold.

Web Standards is developing websites with minimum errors. When ever you look at one websites and look at them through different browser like fire fox, safari, opera, or internet explorer and notice that they look different that because they do not meet web standards. Standards help ensure that everyone has access to the information we are providing, and also make web development faster and more enjoyable. Using them can also make it easier on search engines.

Twitter is a blog that only allows 140 characters inside of a post. It help tell you more about the people you know by telling  you what they are doing kind of like myspace but with out the huge music library and it features. Using @ to reply to someones message when one is sent to but it will make it public. You also have a DM which you type if you want it to be private. Personally Id stick to myspace or facebook its alittle easier to talk to your friends and find them a lot easier.

I think blogging is a lot more resourceful than going to the library. You can find a lot more on the subject than if you were to go to the library. Now day more people are trying to make it there job instead of a hobby. I ‘ do it though I don’t have much patient and it can take awhile to get a successful blog going. You also have to research the subject and after you do all that you must make your blog page known. Making your blog known can take forever and like I said I don’t have any patients but its good for the people that can cause I’d rather read them.

Collective intelligence is one of the oldest forms of getting information. It is where people mutually give information to help one another.  Most recently due to the internet more information can be collected from around the world. We have wikpiedia which is more accurate than Britannica because more than a little group is contributing to the definition or information. collective intelligence produces better result because it is a number of people gather info in a location and is visible to use for correcting it or gain the knowledge. It also helps people like me that forget everything because with the use of the internet I can look at people’s blog and gather the info from all those people and can just look at it and know where it is instead of having to remember all of it.

RSS is a simple way to get information to come to you instead of you looking for it. It stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication. Why go to ten different websites when they come to you on one page. Google reader is a simple and easy way to use rss. You can have your favorite blogs, e-mail, or social network all on one page. Rss works by you clicking on a small organge square that says rss. Then it will send a link to the aggregator you desire for it to be linked up to so will not have to check for new blogs or mail from different pages it will all be on one main page.

Web 2.0 has various meaning one is when the people have the ability to change the internet. When the web 1st arrived it was used mostly for business purposes only. In one of the two articles I read which you can see at http://www.drivingsales.com/blog/mwatson/2009/01/05/defining-web-20-%E2%80%93-part-1-were-talking-back/ it help me to understand that 2.0 is just an evoultion of the internet and 2.0 is for the most part social networking. It allows us to communicate with people we would have never met because they live in china or some far off place. http://www.pinoyentrep.com/2009/01/07/web-20-marketing-what-exactly-is-web-20/ is another article from a differnt point of view but both aknowledge that 2.0 is social networking.

Personal learning is to where you share published info online. Also using others published writings to gather the knowledge you need. New technology like podcast, films, photograph, and other social networking is how we consume and creating information.
